Summer Activities to do with Kids in Melbourne!

Visit "Making Art", the free all-ages exhibition at the NGV

Making Art is a free, family-friendly exhibition that examines cutting-edge methods for creating art, and it is being held in conjunction with the Picasso exhibition. Play digital interactive games, experiment with poetry, paper collage, drawing, and large-scale sculpting, and inspire your kids to approach art in new and exciting ways. This exhibition opens from February until October.

Hop abroad on the legendary Puffing Billy steam train

Take a ride on the historical steam train through the forest-covered hills of the Dandenong Ranges from Belgrave to Emerald lake every day. Bonus: they've recently reintroduced the time-honoured tradition of sitting on the sills!

Visit Melbourne's Iconic Markets

For the holiday season, Melbourne's famous markets are back in full form. With a range of different locations around Melbourne, it would surely be a fun thing to do to shop at the local Markets and find the best city's snack stalls. The famous one, Queen Victoria Summer Night Market is on until 15 March. Alternatively, take the kids out to the other famous local Markets such as; South Melbourne Market, Preston Market, Prahran Market, Camberwell Market, etc.

Ps: Don't forget to visit our Pop-Up store too when you go to one of the markets! 🤫😉

Travel into A world of Wildlife at Melbourne Zoo

Have you heard that during the school breaks, children under 16 can enter the Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, and Werribee Open Range Zoo for free? Dress warmly and make a visit to see your favourite animals, such as giraffes, koalas, monkeys, and so many more. Children must be accompanied by an adult to be eligible for free admission.

Make the most of the season by going for a Picnic

Plan a digital detox day. Head to a national park, take a picnic and soak up the scenery. From inner-city parks to secluded riverbanks and even historic homesteads, these are some of the best places to picnic in Melbourne; Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, The Abbotsford Convent, Footscray Park, Treasury Gardens, Yarraville Gardens, etc.

Lastly, don't forget to bring a snack to accompany you to the park. CANNOLERIA Cannoli Kit could be the best treat that you would bring. This Kit is available in all of our stores and Online store.

It's the perfect activity for the kids as they can learn how to fill up the Cannoli and eat it right after. What a fun way to spend the summer! 🌸
